is my journey through the paradoxical experience of being simultaneously the viewer and the viewed, the consumer and the consumed.
My work captures moments where I've surrendered to objectification while maintaining complete artistic control — a visual representation of the tightrope many women walk daily.
…watching and being watched.
Being watched is an experience many women navigate daily —whether through the gaze of others or the internalized lens we’ve been taught to carry. My art seeks to challenge what it means to live under observation: how it shapes self-perception, how it strips away humanity, and how it can, paradoxically, be reclaimed as a source of agency.
Using harsh, shadowed lighting and introspective poses, I reflect on how society often reduces women to their physical appearance.
The journey from utility to authenticity is not easy or linear. At times, I catch myself slipping into the role of the object rather than the subject. Desire to be seen and to hide, to surrender and to maintain control, to belong and to break free. My work is a negotiation between these opposing forces, capturing the tension and beauty inherent in these struggles.
Moving towards and beyond the borderlines of utility and representation: between the natural and the artificial, between freedom and control, between destruction and creation.
Women are free to exist as subjects of their own stories, free to choose their own path and methods, is a belief I hold, even as they are inevitably shaped and objectified by the narratives of others.
